FireX® ionization alarms are generally more effective at detecting fast, flaming fires which consume combustible materials rapidly and spread quickly. Sources of these fires may include flammable liquids or paper burning in a waste container.

- Quick Quiet™ False Alarm Control - allows the user to quiet an unwanted alarm for up to 15 minutes, discouraging battery removal
- Two-Way Activation Switch - battery is not engaged until the activation switch is pressed; can also be deactivated if the living space is unoccupied (4671 only)
- Interconnectability - offers the contractor up to 12 interconnecting 4671 alarms *
- Tamper-Resistant Locking Device - smoke alarm locks to mounting bracket to prevent removal of unit
- Lighted Power/Alarm LED - confirms unit is receiving power and provides visual indication of initiating alarm in interconnected system
- Quick Connect™ Wiring Harness - easy to replace or move alarms quickly (4671 only)
- Low Battery Signal - warns at 30 days of low battery condition
